After restarted outlook i getting a message saying: 'The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. These errors occur because Outlook 2016 for Windows doesn't support connections to Exchange Server 2007 and earlier. At this point you get a disconnect and mailbox or calender wont be accessible. I just installed and get everything to work with my new Exchange 2016 server, but when i adding it to Outlook 2013 i autodiscover setup works and it says restart outlook. This can be done by autodiscover pointing to 2016 and have your 2007 clients use policys. If a user on outlook 2007 connects to exchange 2010 all works fine. All client will need to go thrue the highest version of exchange in the environment ( except exchange 2016 as 2013 can proxy up ) due to collaboration between your users.let me explain:
